If you're not like me and can somehow find it within yourself to not hate those enchantments, you can safely ignore this.Įdit: Crap, I knew I'd forget something.Welcome to r/Morrowind, a subreddit dedicated to Bethesda's 2002 open world RPG, the third installment in the The Elder Scrolls series. If you're like me and can't stand the awful cast on use enchantments that the game slaps on most of its magical items, this mod should help make getting quest rewards and finding loot infinitely more enjoyable. This mod should go especially well with BTB's Settings plugin, where the inability to make your own constant effect enchantments would make the quest rewards and loot you find that much more special. In a couple cases I've tried to change some of the more worthless cast on use enchantments that would be innapropriate as constant effect to something you'd at least consider using sometimes. Some enchantments that would not work or would break the game as constant effects were left unchanged, such as offensive effects like "damage x", or restore health and invisiblity. To give you an idea of how I've balanced things, the constant effect items that were in the game originally are much more powerful than the vast majority of the effects introduced by this mod, so they should stand out almost as much as they did before. The vast majority of the enchantments have been reduced in effectiveness in order to preserve game balance. You can still make your own cast on use enchantments if you want, but the vast majority of the quest rewards and enchanted loot you find will no longer be useless crap that you sell off or throw away immediately. It does this by changing most of the stock cast on use enchantments in the game to an equivalent constant effect. Bethesda wisely chose to remove this enchantment type from Oblivion this mod aims to correct their mistake in Morrowind. I could try to explain why, but if you don't get it already, I'm not going to convince you now.
